I bought them from a lovely gentleman who had a wonderful story to tell about the items. They were all three bought by his great aunts from the department store Owen Owen in Liverpool (the flagship store of this chain). The scarves/stoles were expensive when bought and are amazingly still in their original boxes. He guesses that they were bought in the late 40’s. The two ladies both have their own interesting story. During world war two they both worked as nurses to those injured by the war, and after their retirement they moved to Wales where they lived out heir days. In Wales they continued to wear their beautiful fur stoles as a memory of the past, kept for special occasions.
