I knew we were trying to get pregnant, so the practical side of my brain said that I shouldn’t buy such a nice slim fitting skirt with pregnancy on the horizon but then the superstitious side of my brain said that if I denied myself the skirt, then I’d surely not get pregnant. So I bought it as a reverse jinx (which, admittedly, sounds sort of zany) … but it worked like a charm. I was pregnant with twins within three months of buying the skirt.
