I wore this dress back in 1979 when I was just 18. I didn’t have the money for a fancy dress but I thought it was very feminine and I loved it. I married my high school sweetheart 2 weeks after graduation. The marriage lasted for 10 years. I was young and unsure of what I wanted. Freedom wasn’t all it was cracked up to be and I came to regret my decision but my ex husband had already moved on. He remarried and I never did. No one could ever hold a candle to him so I stayed alone over the years hoping that maybe one day when we were older we would get back together. I decided to save the dress just in case. Twenty-four years after my divorce my ex got divorced from his second wife. We got together a time or two but it didn’t take long to realize that he didn’t carry the same torch for me as I did for him. Needless to say I won’t be needing to save the dress any longer. It will only make me sad. The only happy thing is that I can still fit into it after 34 years lol. Anyway I hope that some young girl will wear it and treasure it as much as I have:) I will be happy to answer any questions.
