Janet Gaynors custom dress form from Adrians salon in Beverly Hills, signed by Adrian. This vintage dress form measures 5 ft. 2 in. tall, with a metal rod which is affixed to a square wooden base. Signed in pencil by Adrian as “Mrs. Adrian” near the top. One of Hollywoods most talented costume designers, Adrian worked at MGM from 1928 to 1942 designing gowns for such important leading women as Greta Garbo, Jean Harlow, Norma Shearer and Joan Crawford. He left MGM and started a successful couture boutique in Beverly Hills. He was married to Janet Gaynor, the first Best Actress Academy Award winner, and designed clothes for her as well.
