Green Corduroy Steampunk Jacket

Green Corduroy Jacket

She was my baby for so long, but I just never wear her anymore and I just kept her for the nostalgia. So, instead of having her in great condition just collecting dust, I decided to pass her on to a good home. God, I’m describing her like a cat, huh? lol

Desert Storm Aviator Glasses

Aviator Glasses

…there is also a neat bit of provenance included (the original case with the “return to” tag filled out) that ties these to the 193rd Special Operations Wing, an Air National Guard unit based in Middletown, PA, circa 1990. The unit was responsible for E-130 psychological warfare operations (TV/radio jamming, etc.) during Desert Shield/Storm.

USS John S. McCain

USS John S. McCain

This ship was dedicated for Senator John McCain’s father. The provenance is: (The launch took place several years ago at the Bath Ironworks shipyard in Bath, Maine. My step-father was personally invited to attend, as a retired Navy Captain. He kept the hat and never wore it; it was very special to him. He gave it to me when down-sizing into a nursing home before he passed away.)

Schiaparelli Lingerie Bag

Schiaparelli Lingerie Bag

In 1948, my mother graduated high school and went to work as a secretary in Manhattan. She continued working until she got married and moved away in 1962. During that period, she accumulated closets full of stunning dresses, suits, sweaters, purses, belts, hats, gloves, coats, lingerie and accessories that were all from the New Look period.  It was all bought new in stores either in New York City or on a trip to Europe in 1959.

Swing Coat and Dress

Swing Coat and Dress

This vintage 2 piece set was purchased from a very elegant little lady and was actually worn at the 1965 Inaugural Ball for President John F. Kennedy. This family was very political & socially prominant & I have no reason to disbelieve her.

New York and Co. Pink Sweater and Cami

NY and Co.

I really NEED a new wardrobe it isn’t a matter of wanting I have 2 shirts and 3 pairs of pants from last fall/winter that somewhat fit me, I am now 2 sizes smaller then I was then. We budget for the kids to grow out of their clothes every year but I use clothes over and over especially dressy shirts since I don’t go out often.

Aeropostale Shirt

Aeropostale Shirt

I was shopping with my friend and she wanted to buy my son this shirt, I noticed she was staring at all the shirts and kept putting them back. I walked over to her and asked what she was doing, she said these are nice, but every one has a nick in the collar, or sleeve. I said that is the style, they are all like this. She has little girls and no idea of what people are wearing these days. It was very funny.
