…the coat was custom made sometime around the mid-1980’s, was told that the original owner had bit parts as an actor in several movies/television shows and although the relative selling it couldn’t remember for sure which it was, the capote was worn in either one of the Bonanza reunion shows of the late 1980’s to early 1990’s or was worn in the 1995 Johnny Depp movie “Dead Man”, both of which the owner had appeared in (name of owner will be provided to winning bidder); sorry, wasn’t able to watch these shows to narrow it down more for you or to confirm this provenance.

What a twisted guy with a really dark history. Makes for an interesting story about your art to wear jacket. These jackets were originally designed and marketed to celebrities and sold for thousands of dollars. Meanwhile, Tony Alamo, was a child molester, had some weird religious cult, etc etc.

This sale was a Moving Sale in my neighborhood. It was run by a woman in her 50’s. She, too, had one of those faces. I think it took about eight seconds to find out why she’s moving.
She’s joining a nudist camp.
Okay. To be specific: She is “relocating to a clothing-optional environment.”
I’m not kidding. I swear to you I do not kid. She’s been a weekend nudist for years, she said, and now she’s retiring and moving up the coast and “selling everything but my birthday suit.”

I found this at a Estate sale ready to be thrown out, The lining and pockets had been totally ripped apart , as was other articals in the pile. I found the family was looking for something and just tore things up trying to find it. I rescued this beautiful fur and did not know if it could be restored or not. We do not have a furier nearby so I took it to a tailor and believe it or not, it is totally restored, all hand stitched, will last forever. Before taking to the tailor I was scanning over the damage and deep in one of the pockets at the bottom where it had be ripped open was 4 numbers written small in ball point pen. I think that is what they were searching for, perhaps ATM #, Combination #, Lockbox # etc. Due to the place I found the number I don’t think no one else would have found it. It is still visible, even after the repairs but the pocket has to be turned inside out.
