I was at a resale shop and I spot the shoe and another shoe of the same color, but not a Chanel was sitting beside it and I asked every worker in the store about the mate and they told me this is what came in. How I would like to have the mate, but at this time it is just not happening, but maybe someone out there may have a pair and might need a piece off this shoe or maybe one day I will find the mate to this one and list it.
I wanted a pair of Christian Louboutin Bow T Dorcets in Ivory sooo bad for my wedding that I was willing to pay the very high asking price. Little did I know that when I did research I started to have a hard time finding them and it looked like Neiman Marcus was the only ones in my area that would carry them. I went there and they stated that they were “last years” so they didn’t carry them anymore. The only ones that I could find, in ivory and in my size, being sold were on the internet and from China (of course). It was then that I decided that I didn’t care if they were a knock-off or a defected pair as long as I had the style I wanted. I paid $175.00 for the shoes and anxiously awaited the delivery aaannnddddd — in my excitement of finding Bow T Dorcets online >>> I ordered the WRONG style of Bow T Dorcet. I got the platform with slingback when I wanted the cut away side version :-(((
when i first bought these shoes, unusually for me, i bought em vintage new. i dont think the seller knew much about them; however, she did know they were good. Real Good.
when i received them, i knew the seller’s estimation was correct.
the thing is, neither of us could read the label. & there were no other identifying marks, no size, no made in, no nothing. zip zilch zed nil nada nought.
okay, i’ve had em for a while, still couldnt read the label, still had no idea what they were about, other than that they’re quality. came time to sell em

& i tried to figure it out again. indecipherable. sorta.

i did some google searches based on one or two syllables i could kinda make out. this brought me to a lot of pictures of lightning.
& one dress. one runway dress.
turns out, mr Yildirim “Lightning” Mayruk is a major haute couture designer.
in turkey.

These shoes have a funny story - to them. I was wearing them the day I met my husband and I started calling them my “lucky new shoes”. The night I met my (now) husband, I wrote his number on the bottom of one of my shoes (for lack of having pen/or paper) and I told him - “I think you’re gonna be my husband some day, because I would normally never write on my shoe for a guy’s number” - 2 years later we were married. These practical shoes were my lucky shoes for a while and perhaps they will bring you the same kind of luck.
I bought these shoes with the anticipation I was having a boy; funny story short - I delivered sugar & spice and everything nice!

My best friend is a gorgeous redhead who is a nurse at a local hospital. Although she is happily married, a doctor at the hospital has been vigorously trying to woo her for months. His latest attempt was this pair of Coach shoes, which he purchased at an airport while traveling with his wife. My best friend tried to refuse them, but he left them beside her car in the hospital parking lot anyway. Mortified, my friend quickly threw the shoes in her car and brought them to me.
Unfortunately, my monster-size-9-feet won’t squeeze into these beautifully expensive shoes, so I devised another plan. I told my computer-illiterate best friend that I would sell them on ebay, hopefully earning us enough money for a Girls’ Night Out, which, I reasoned, was the least my friend should get for having to put up with this Neanderthal hitting on her all day long.
I was having lunch at a sidewalk cafe on the upper east side, NYC… when Ralph Lauren himself tapped me on the shoulder and asked where I got my boots, I told him, as he walked away he simply said ” They Are Exquisite”.

I bought these boots from the former business manager of the Rolling Stones, who used to wear them backstage during their tours in the ’70s…She sold them to me because, sadly, she’s now down on her luck and needed to find a way to pay the rent on her beautiful Upper West Side apartment.
