My sister got this bag last summer as a gift from a “man”….I lent her money to help her after this “Man” ripped her off. Yes, it happens. Now, I am out of a job and need the money. She gave me the bag to sell to try and get paid back. I will be listing other items as I can to pay the bills. It is an interesting story and I plan on writing a book about it! (the man is famous).
This is a funny story. Not funny “ha ha”, but funny, “huh”. I used to work for the old Jordan Marsh, that then was taken over by Filene’s and then was bought by Macy’s. While I worked in the cosmetic dept right after high school Chanel was having a contest. If you suggested to customer’s that they try a Chanel fragrance first, and were lucky enough to do that to a “mystery shopper”, you would win one of their extraordinarily popular handbags. This one was worth almost 1,000 that year. Obviously, I got lucky.

My friend bought me this vintage snakeskin purse from 30’s or 40’s last year. GORGEOUS condition, was like new. My puppy got to it, and damaged the side of the bag.
My ex gave this to me, sort of. Funny story though so let me explain. We were in St Louis shopping and she found a purse she just had to have. Of coarse it was $1000+. Her easy solution was for me to apply for a credit card. So me thinking this was the one I did and bought her the purse. To be fair she bought me some things. Gucci shoes, this brief, Robert Graham shirts (Ok that one was me) and a pair of True Religion jeans. I havn’t quit figured out how these gifts were from her when they were all placed on the cc in my name. Somehow I was and am the one paying the bill also. Anyway she cheated and I fired her. Now I am trying to recover from the nightmare.
I carried this at my wedding 13 years ago as my something “old”. It has sentimental value but I ‘m going to sell it to raise money so my husband and I can have a baby “inferility issues” cost so much money:(
MY HUSBAND KNEW THAT I WANTED THE SPEEDY LV HANDBAG..SO HE PURCHASED ME THE SPEEDY 25 FOR MY FIFTIEITH BIRTHDAY..ALTHOUGH I LOVE THE BAG I REALLY WANTED THE LARGER VERSION..SO I USED THE BAG A FEW TIMES GOING OUT WITH HIM AND JUST RECENTLY PURCHASE THE LARGER ONE AND HE STILL THINKS ITS THE SAME ONE HE PURCHASED!!!
I WAS VIEWING IT AND JAMIE LEE CURTIS CAME IN AND WANTED THIS VERY BAG - SHE WAS VERY UPSET WHEN TOLD THERE WERE NO MORE!!!

I believe it belonged to my dear late mother when she was young…so that would be the late 1920’s or 30’s. She sang in local operas and on the radio and I can just see her carrying this fancy beauty!
****OUR SAD STORY…one that I know too many are going through right now…MY HUSBAND WENT TO WORK ON MARCH 16TH…ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THE 45 YEAR OLD COMPANY THAT HE’D WORKED FOR FOR OVER 10 YEARS WAS CLOSING…THAT DAY! NO WARNING! HE HAS WORKED HARD ALL OF HIS LIFE AND HAS ALWAYS HAD A GREAT ATTITUDE TOWARDS HIS FELLOW WORKERS. HE HAS STILL NOT RECEIVED HIS FIRST UNEMPLOYMENT CHECK (TODAY IS APRIL 5th)! SO I AM SELLING SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS TO HELP US OUT!****
